The Team Lead role reports to the Vice President of Sales. The Team Lead position will be responsible for leading and mentoring the next generation of Scavuzzo’s Sales Representatives. The role will be responsible for executing the business sales processes and messaging within the target markets in both an ethical and profitable manner, and will be responsible for consistently representing the best which Scavuzzo’s has to offer from a sales and service perspective.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Continuously recruiting and pursuing new team members through all available communication channels.
  • Performing regular follow-ups with team members to ensure the entire team is successful in meeting its financial plans;
  • Responsible for planning and assisting in onboarding and training of new team members;
  • Responsible for organizing, preparing, and presenting the team’s sales budget and Annual Operating Plan (AOP);
  • Plans, organizes and executes all quarterly reviews with platinum accounts;
  • Responsible for leading the pursuit of all prospective platinum accounts to ensure onboarding and to effectively transfer the account to a team member for daily sales functions;
  • Promotes and sells products, services and/or related accessories utilizing consultative sales techniques to meet or surpass profitability goals;
  • Responsible for providing the customer with fair and accurate needs assessments, market basket price quotations, and details regarding all services provided;
  • Responsible for processing sales orders in the designated software system in accordance with procedures and company guidelines;
  • Responsible for relaying appropriate information to customers to enhance the company's image;
  • Researches trends and technical developments through related publications and training sessions to maintain current knowledge and specifically meet customer request.;
  • Receives and resolves customer complaints and problems within 48 hours;
  • Responsible for understanding and supporting sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers;
  • Ensures an attractive and orderly company image through effective sales displays and proper attire;
  • Responsible for communicating adequate stocking levels to Purchasing to ensure all products are sufficiently available;
  • Provides basic assistance to customers by unloading call orders from delivery vehicle and examining as assigned;
  • Responsible for following up on customer sales as appropriate;
  • Acts in a stewardship capacity for the Company, works as a functional member of the team, has ability to self-direct and self-regulate work-day;
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Minimum of a associates degree in Business Administration, Communication, English, Technical Writing or equivalent, or 3-5 years in the field or in a related area, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience preferred;

  • Advance knowledge of sales within the foodservice distribution industry.
